Brian was recently named Chief Architect for Akash Systems in San Francisco, CA, a company focused on developing and supplying the next generation of small satellites (CubeSats), and the RF Power Amplifiers that power them. He previously served as CEO of OneWeb Satellites, LLC. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the Space industry including at both Orbital Sciences and Ball Aerospace providing engineering and program management leadership on commercial and government space systems. Most recently, he was the first employee as well as Executive VP and CTO of O3b Networks where he was responsible for developing, implementing, launching and deploying a global Ka-band satellite constellation, its ground and operational networks, and its customer access technology. O3b was sold to SES at a >$2B valuation during the summer of 2016.

Brian served as an advisor to the Colorado Space Grant University Board in 2006-2007. Brian currently serves on the Advisory Board for Virginia Tech’s Department of Aerospace and Ocean Engineering.
