Career Fair Resources for Employers

Students and employers0*-+

Virginia Tech offers excellent engineering programs that prepare students with strong academic credentials for impactful careers in the fields of aerospace engineering, ocean engineering, national security and defense, and more. This Career Fair is designed to showcase your company while providing a professional setting to meet with these students for potential internship, co-operative, and/or full-time employment opportunities.

The Career Fair will run from 10am - 4pm on Tuesday, September 19 in the Commonwealth Ballroom in the Squires Student Center. You will have an opportunity to meet with students, acquire their resume and have them sign up to interview the following day.

Booth Set-up:
Companies will be able to set up their booth space from 8:30 am-10:00 am on Tuesday, September 19. Recruiters will receive a welcome packet including name tags for each recruiter, one parking pass, an event schedule, participating companies and more.

Spontaneous Interviews:
Please utilize a quiet space in the Squires Student Center lobby or outside common areas (weather permitting) to conduct interviews on Tuesday if you wish to conduct spontaneous interviews.

Interview Day:
As you meet students during the Career Fair, you are welcome to create your own schedule of candidates you'd like to interview on Wednesday, September 20. Individual interviews will be held at the offices of Career and Professional Development on Wednesday if you opt to stay.

Registration for the 2023 Career Fair is $750 per company. Fees include one company showcase booth (10' x 8')  for the career fair on Tuesday, September 19 as well as breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks/refreshments for recruiters.  Booth includes a 6' skirted table, two chairs and power supply. Individual (optional) interviews may be held at our Career and Professional Development offices on Wednesday, September 20.

In an effort to provide optimal access to our students, the employer space is limited to approximately 60 companies.  Register today to reserve your spot!
