Livestream Event: Launch of the Cygnus NG-15 and ThickSat satellite

Countdown to launch! Virginia Tech invites you to join researchers, faculty and students for an exclusive technical session prior to the launch of Northrop Grumman's Cygnus NG-15 robotic resupply mission to the International Space Station from Wallops Island, Virginia. Onboard will be a number of student projects, including Virginia Tech's student-built ThickSat satellite.
This 60-minute livestream broadcast will take place on February 20, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.
The briefing will preview these mission highlights:
- Meet the team of students and their faculty advisors behind the ThickSat satellite
- Learn how Virginia Tech's experiment will test a composite boom for the NASA Langley Research Center, and how it will impact future spaceflight missions such as the Advanced Composite Solar Sail System (ACS3) mission
- Hear from student subteams including electronics, structures, and the future of the space engineering program at Virginia Tech
