3MT (Three Minute Thesis Competition)

For the inaugural 3MT competition at Virginia Tech, we will be holding a competition for students within the Kevin T. Crofton Department of Aerospace and Ocean Engineering only. All graduate students within the AOE department are invited to participate.

11/08/2019

The first date will be November 8th, 2019. This will be the first round of the competition, but will serve as a critique session for competitors. No student will be eliminated on this day.  

11/15/2019

This is the date of the final competition. All competitors should prepare their best presentation on this date. Judging for the final presentations will occur on this date.

Where will the competition be?

The competition will be held in Torgersen Hall, room 2150.

There will be travel grants awarded to the top presentations given during the competition. These will be awarded on the completion of the competition.
