Stability Wind Tunnel Schedule
Welcome to the Virginia Tech Stability Wind Tunnel Schedule. This schedule is available for consultation. Reservations can be made by contacting the personnel listed here.
The tunnel currently accepts two types of reservations: tentative or firm bookings. A tentative booking is listed in the calendar below as soon as the request is received. All bookings listed on the schedule are tentative unless mentioned. The reservation remains tentative until the customer has provided payment or a purchase order, at which point the status of the booking is updated to firm.
By rule, if a prospective customer wants to book a time slot that is already listed as tentative, the tunnel will contact the customer listed on the calendar and inform him of the situation. If the listed customer choses not to make his booking firm, the prospective customer will then have the opportunity to reserve the timeslot (as a firm booking), provided a purchase order or inter-departmental service request (ISR) is submitted to the departmental business manager (Wanda Foushee) . Safety Requirements
All customers need to bring a signed copy of the safety form(s) relevant to their entry. By signing, each person certifies to understand all the safety risks and procedures associated with the facility. Every person that will require access to the facility needs to sign a copy of the safety form pertaining to their entry and submit it to the tunnel engineer Bill Oetjens.
