| 2006-04-05 | Professor Hovakimyan wins Pride@Boeing award | Dr. Naira Hovakimyan |
Professor Hovakimyan's research has supported the Boeing Company to win a highly competitive award from AFRL to develop Certification Techniques for Advanced Flight Critical Systems. In appreciation of this successful competition, The Boeing company has awarded Professor Hovakimyan with Pride@Boeing award. This is the second award in that series that the Boeing company presents to her in appreciation of her dedicated collaboration with them. "Certification Techniques for Advanced Flight Critical Systems" is a Phantom Works "Key Win" program because it will help to reduce the cost of software verification and validation (V&V) testing. Software V&V testing is one of the greatest single cost items for new aircraft development, and it is growing rapidly due to the increasing complexity of software afforded by even more capable processors. This program is a step towards reversing that trend
